I’m so busy!

Wassup my people!? So much has happened since I last blogged. I am sooooo busy. Don’t worry though! I’m still here. And I really missed you, especially you…;)

Since you last saw me, I have changed!

Exhibit A – I’m growing:

That is a seven month tie! That’s so old! I’m thinking about getting my own apartment…Hahaha. JK. I’m never moving out.

Exhibit B – I’m smart:

Into twiangle shaped hole.

My mom didn’t help me at all…I’m brainy.

Finally, Exhibit C – I’m CRAWLING and CLIMBING:

Now that I’m crawling, I am very curious. Right now we are in the middle of changing the adult pool table room into BabyMetropolis. This is where I’ll be spending A LOT of my time. Think of all the activities! In the meantime, my mom gets to chase me all over the house, which I quite like. My favorite is when she turns her back for a second or decides she needs a picture of something I’m doing.

Here I am when my mom was trying to get the seven month pics.

Here I am rolling off the pillow barricade my mom put up to stop me from crawling to the DVDs. (Heh. Nice try.)

I heard her talking to my dad the other day. She said she was real tired. Now, I dont really know what “tired” is because I am never tired.

I decided to put together a short video for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy.

Welp. That’s all for me. I think I’ll go try and climb into the dog’s dish again. My mom really seems to like that.

I’m Back!

I do apologize for my absence. It has been a very long time since I last blogged. Soooooo much has happened in my fifth month of life. Seriously my social calendar has been booked!!!

Now. Instead of posting pictures and coming up with witty remarks pertaining to each one, I decided to make a 5 Month Movie Montage!!! Please enjoy my very first (not-ever-so-cheesy) movie.

5 Month Movie Montage from ShaSha on Vimeo.

You loved it, right???

I promise not to let so much time go by before blogging again.

Here are a few blog posts to look forward to:

  • 6 month doctors appointment – Can’t wait to see how much I’ve grown!!!
  • Hawaii – My first plane ride! YIKES!
  • OC Fair – I’m so curious as to what chocolate covered bacon really is…
  • Mommy-and-Me Classes – My mom has promised she’s going to sign up for something…we’ll see.

I love you all.

Oh Mom… Dress Up – Part 1

Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury. You know how I’m only like four months old, right? Well in that time, my own mother has put me in numerous outfits that she thinks is adorable. Since I’m just a wee baby, I do not really object too much. But I ask you, does this seem a bit OTT???

Exhibit A – Hats.

It all began in the hospital. She said it was to keep my head warm but I didn’t see any other babies in the nursery with a grinning bear on their noggin…

Here I am just chillin’ out with an owl on my head like it’s perfectly normal:

“Whoooo does she think she is?” (Heh. See what I did there…)

Here begins my obsession with Star Wars:

“Yoda craziest mom ever, I says!”

“Does this look like the face of a leprechaun???”

Here I am at Disneyland:

I’m too wee to go on any rides so what do we do instead. Try on hats!!!

“It’s mad I tell you!”

This one is not really a hat.

It’s my favorite Elmo towel!

Last but not least, my mom’s most recent purchase.

I am telling the truth when I say that the second my mom saw this hat, she stuck it on my head, lifted me up, and sang It’s the Circle of Life.

Exhibit 2 – My mom says it’s customary to wear an outfit for every holiday:

Valentine’s Day.

I can handle the tie. But the LEG WARMERS!!! Really?

St. Patrick’s Day.

“Pucker up.”

Luckily, my mom had problems with my Easter outfit on Etsy. I’m sure it would have looked something like this though:

Exhibit tres – Various onesies made to look fancier than they are.

Here I am the day I met my Gran and Grampa. AND my tie is crooked!

Is there a doctor in the house?

Business casual.

Now I know there are many more I haven’t shown AND many more in months to come. But be honest. Do any of these outfits make my bum look big??? NO? Ok then.

I Am 4 Months!

That’s right peeps. I am four months old as of last week. You know how I’m like a genius baby, right? Well, at my four month doctor’s appointment, it was confirmed. I am a genius.

Here’s a pic of me in the waiting room:

Dr. McCutie to see Dr. Bennett.

The doc asked me all kinds of things to make sure I’m hitting all my milestones.

She asked:

  • Are you talking yet? Pffft! Really? Talking AND singing.
  • Have you rolled over? HA.HA.HA.I’m rolling right off my play-mat like every day. Evidence..
  • How are you sitting up? Easy.

See I’m sitting.
Weeelllllll Maybe with a little help…

  • Can you do a mini push-up? Obviously, she forgot her ticket to the gun show.

Genius status = check.

After all the genius confirmation, the nurse came back in to give me my shots.

Here I am before the shots: (Happy as a wee clam.)

Here I am after: (WTH was that? And why are you taking a picture???)

When we got home from the doc’s, it was time for my monthly pics.

At first, it seemed like I wasn’t going to smile again.

“You lookin’ at me?”

“Shots. Hmmph.”

“Do I know you?”

“Stop making those silly faces mOOOm.”

“You’re freakin’ me out!”

“Ahhhh well. Gets me every time!”

Happy four month bday to meeeee!!!

A Picnic

Guess what? I went on my first picnic!!! Das right! I picnic. Not alone or anything. I got friends. I went with my bestie girlfriend, Kate, her mom, Monica, Alexis, and of course, my mama!

It was a glorious day! We laughed, we talked, and we ate!

Here’s a pic of me with the leftovers. So very full.

Kate was too.

After that we just talked some more. Here we are:

Me and Alexis

Me and Mum (that’s my British accent coming out)

Kate and Monica

Just me.

“Just us babes.”

All in all, it was a GREAT day! I really enjoyed the company. AND I think Kate is actually warming up to me…

You all know how cute I am, right? Well in case you need more clarification here are a few vids of me being just darling.

This first one is of me laughing at my mom. She is freakin’ hilarious!

(Don’t mind the chipped nail polish.)

So funny from ShaSha on Vimeo.

This second one is of me being soooo shy…I’m just like my dad.

So Shy from ShaSha on Vimeo.

This last one is of my mama and I singing our hearts out. You know how my mom was in that wedding last weekend??? Well, she broke out into song at the end of her speech and to make it really spectacular I helped her practice. Here we are:

Singing Together from ShaSha on Vimeo.

We are soooooooo good together!!!

Welp, I hope you enjoyed me!

xoxo Ewan – the baby.

Since I’m just a wee baby and haven’t been here for that long, I encounter many firsts. This last weekend I had tree firsts. Count um…one…two…tree.

The first first…hehe…first first, was going on a weekend away. One of my mom’s besties was getting married and of course we had to attend, as my mom was her matron of honor. Now I’m just a baby so I don’t know what a “matron” does but I think it has something to do with running around with the other ladies whilst giggling, dressing up all fancy-like, and sipping on something called champers…

Here are the few pics I have from the weekend:

This is me and the bride-to-be Auntieeee Nicoleeeee. <3<3<3

This is me and my gramma.

Here I am having to fend for myself because my mom was at a rehearsal dinner and my dad was somewhere???

It’s ok though because I’m a really smart baby.

All in all it was a FANTASTIC weekend!

(NOTE: My next weekend away I get to go on something called an airplane. Eeeeeee!)

My second first was my babysitters. I had pretty much the bestest babysitters in the world. Julie and Jay watched me while my mom and dad were at the wedding. We did so many activities. We had chinese take-out, we went to the park, we laughed, we cried (not me, Jay) and we sang.

Here I am at the park (that’s Jay dancing in the background):

I had the bestest time ever! I can’t wait for them to babysit me again!

And my third first was sleeping in my crib for the first time! Can someone say milestone??? I think so! I told my mom for weeks now that I was ready to sleep in my crib in my own room and not in the co-sleeper but she did not believe me. I finally convinced her.

Here’s my crib all set up:

Breathable bumper = check.

AngelCare monitor = check.

WebCam = Um. Really, dad? (sigh) check.

It was obviously a very hard night:

I may or may not have heard my mom sneak into the room 5 times that night…

Alrighty. That’s all my firsts from the weekend. I’m sure, being a wee baby, I’ll have more to come.

Before you go, here’s a video of me waking my mom from my new room:

Wedding Weekend Away!!!

This is going to be my first weekend away from home and I’m soooooooooo excited!!!!!! My Auntie Nicole is getting married!!!!! I am cool as a cucumber but my mom is a “basket case”.

This is how excited I am:

Welp. We’ll see how this all pans out…

xoxo Ewan -the baby.

So, I’m pretty popular. In the three months I have been on this earth, I have met many people. I guess I’m what you call a social butterfly. I like people. And they sure do like me. My mom says I have a winning personality. I’m going to agree with that.

Here is my first friend I ever met:

His name is Benjamin. Benjamin is my mom’s friend, Amanda’s, son. He lives all the way in Georgia. Now, I don’t know where that is because I’m only three months but I will definitely be going to visit someday. Benjamin and I are what my mom calls “heartbreakers”.

Here is my second friend I ever met:

His name is Nolan. He’s my mom’s friend, Lauren’s, son. As you can see, Nolan likes to relax. We are going to be great friends. Nolan comes from a very musical family so I think we’ll probably be in a band together. I’ll be the lead, of course. Nolan can be on drums or a keytar…

Finally I got to meet a girl. Here I am before my first date:

“Hi. It’s date-Ewan. Pleased to meet me…”

This is me and Kate. Kate is my mom’s friend, Monica’s, daughter:

I tried to play it cool but she’s saying “Ewww boys. Yuck.”

Ok. So. She didn’t like me this time but don’t you worry. I’ll win her over in the end. I’m thinking prom 2030.

Welp. Those are my friends for now. I think I’ll be making A LOT more in weeks to come…because I’m so darn cute.

xoxo Ewan – the baby.

Webster’s Dictionary defines a blowout as an uncontrolled eruption of an oil or gas well. Now, I’m just a wee fellow but in the past week I have had many a blowout. I don’t know what has happened to me since I turned 3 months but things have changed…

Ok I’m not going to drag this one out. I’m just saying that I have ruined a few very cute outfits. AND my mom actually had to cut one off me. Maybe it’s just a guy thing.

Well. I’m not going to post any pictures of these said “blowouts” but I will show you this:

I DO think I look a bit lighter.
